Rifle II Tactical TrainingCourse description: Rifle II is an advanced individual shooting course with emphasis in the following disciplines: Cover-based shooting, transitional shooting, shooting on the move, unknown distance engagements, barricade shooting, break contact techniques, combatant mindset, limited exposure shooting techniques, low-light shooting and other facets of kinetic environments. End-state: Students will be able to control cognitive dissonance during kinetic operation through familiarity with cover-based shooting and the understanding that there is no perfect scenario. Students will be capable to use their weapon (mind) and their tools (carbine and body) to mitigate threats to their mission, loved ones or themselves. Student Expectations: This course is heavily based on becoming familiar with the uncomfortable aspects of kinetic environments. This will include heavy physical exertion and mental preparation. Shooters looking to attend this course should be physically able to run, kneel and sit in awkward positions; and quick to recover from these positions. Historically, combat has been pass-fail; as is this course. Pre-Requisites: Ares Armor Tactical Training Rifle I or equivalent is preferred, but there is no formal pre-requisite. Common sense and firearms safety familiarity are mandatory. Students are advised that there will be zero tolerance for unsafe or reckless behavior. Any shooter deemed unsafe will forfeit their course fee and be excused from the course. Training Days: 2 Student Gear Requirements:
