Huskey MKII EWS EWS (Expeditionary Warfare Sling)Cam locking or Quick adjust? The Cam slings have the benefit of allowing an over tightening when the shooter needs to be hands-free of the weapon system at the expense of quick manipulation of the sling to complement the shooting position chosen by the shooter. The quick adjust two points have the ability to quickly tighten and loosen as deemed necessary by the shooter, but can only tighten half the distance of the webbing the slider piece is attached to. This leaves a choice between tightening for hands free or for shooting position. This argument has created a schism between operators worldwide and the slings they choose to bring the fight. I bought the MKII, added Damage Industries D-ring QD loops, the 2-1 Triglide and I couldn't be happier. Easy to use and manipulate, while one handed, in all kinds of conditions with gross/stress induced motor skills. The ability to over tighten the sling with the IWC buckle is outstanding, you can now cinch up for; SSE collection, ranged shots, secondary transitions, subject transport, wall climbing/elevated entry...etc...etc...etc... 5 STARS. |

This sling is a masterpiece! I'm very impressed in the quality and super ease with installing on my AK. This has many uses for anyone really. Whether the amateur shooter to hunter, to professional. I'm very impressed and the price is very fair for this! Keep up the fight guys, we the PEOPLE support you in your fight and this company just flat out kicks ass! |

Huskey Mark II By: Gene Jenkins on 05/06/2014 06:54:42 PM First of all, this sling is a great piece of kit. its probably the best sling I have ever owned the slider is easy to manipulate. However, i do have some issues (that are probably training related to be brutally honest) with this sling. The full metal pieces on the sling are great for durability, but can pinch you while shouldering the rifle if their not in the right spot. it took me a good 20 minutes of trial and error to find the right spot. I would suggest wrapping the metal pieces in electrical tape for extra protection and act as keepers for extra material. My last issue ( and again this is probably a training issue) is with reloading. I find it difficult, when I have the gun in my workspace, to reach with my support hand down to my war belt for another mag without pulling on the sling with my bicep. I originally used a one point sling so this wasn't an issue before. With that said, this sling is more than worth the money, and i would recommend it to any one that is interested in this sling. Plus helping ares armor with their court battle is enough to keep me as a return customer. |
