It feel apart...

I bought this upper to put on a poly80 lower I bought and finished from you guys. Took it to the range got about 3 magazines in and realize the hand guard had come loose and was almost off of the barrel nut so I stopped shooting. Took it home to tighten down the hand guard, once at home I took handguard off to look over the gas block and system barely touch the gas block and it moves it was not tightened down at all. I decided to just put the whole thing back together myself the way ares armor thought me the back in 2011. Now that the upper is properly assembled I've put about a thousand rounds through it and everything ran great. Very accurate barrel no complaints other than it was poorly assembled to begin with

I finally got to go to the range with my 80% lower AR build yesterday and all I can say is AWESOME... My best 5 round group firing from a bench was about 2" @ 100 yard... All in all I am very happy with it... Thanks for the fast shipping... Diane

I feel like a kid again this Christmas! Upper was shipped immediately (even though the sling I ordered wasn't ready to ship). USPS had a little hiccup so it took longer than expected, but no fault of Ares. I waited as patiently as possible and only checked the tracking 6 or 7 times a day...I was literally waiting by the mailbox when it arrived. Worth every minute. This upper is absolutely beautiful. Fit and finish are perfect. Tight seamless fit to my lower. This upper has everything I would have wanted to change on any other upper I found...and cost less than any of them. I am completely happy...Ares has just earned a customer for life!

Received this upper two days ago after about a week. Beautiful. Have not had the chance to fire it on the range yet but will soon. This unit costs less than upper I purchased elsewhere, the hand guard is very adaptable compared to my other hand guard which is plain jane.

Three words : I LOVE IT! What a bargain, this upper is spectacular, worth every penny. I drove down to Oceanside to grab it, 35 min drive, man the arpe looks and fires like a beauty! The NIB so easy to wipe down, it's lightweight and awesome. Worth every dollar!

I've owned many...but this one is THE BEST I have ever held in my hands. The quality of materials, workmanship, balance...you simply could not do better for the price. I would have paid triple knowing what I know now about this upper...Grab one before they are gone.

I pre-bought this upper and waited around 3 months to get it in. Everyday I was checking to see if it was shipped with excitement kids have for Christmas, hoping that the anticipation wouldn't lead to let down. I was extremely relieved/over-joyed that this upper is awesome. It is fairly light weight and balance. The finish is pretty nice, comparable to many of the other top shelf black gun builders. I particularly like the shape of the rail, and the slots inside the rail for the fasteners for the rail pieces. I was very happy to see them since I don't recall them being listed in the description when I ordered it. The effin comp is awesome touch. A functional, tune-able comp instead of a standard birdcage...it works as well as or better than my Spikes dynacomp on another rifle. Finally the nib bcg is amazing. Mine was properly staked, beautifully finished and suuuuuuper slick. I liked it so much I bought another to throw in another rifle. My only issues I had were 3 small handling blems, light finish scratches all on the rail and all near the upper receiver. Overall, this is an unbelievable value. You can't find anything comparable in the price range. It's literally in the price of completely stripped standard carbine uppers. Even if there is a waiting list when you try to order, don't hesitate, it's worth the wait.

Finally got to burn in the barrel last July 3/14. Performed flawless until I used a steel case Brown bear ammo. Not the uppers fault. The lacquer coating on the ammo lock the bolt in battery. After I cleared the jam,, rock n roll again till ammo ran out.

I ordered this upper and paid for it, they stated that it could take up to 3 months to arrive, but due to the price break, I had to do it. I was delighted when 10 days later it showed up on my doorstep!! :) It's a beauty, craftsmanship at it's best !! I have not had a chance to get it on a lower and get it to the range, Note: I have seen some reviews complaining the the dust cover is hard to close, the catch on the dust cover is a spring and ball, it's a little stiff at first, but put your finger in the middle and push,, no sweat :) after a couple of times, it's a piece of cake. Awesome, thank you!

Unbelievable quality. Yesterday I zeroed both my ARs. One with the Harpe and one without. Used the same lower for both. Wow what a difference the Harpe makes. Anyone who is familiar with AR, M4 or M-16 will feel it from the first shot.

I got my Harpe upper about 3 weeks before the 90 day mark. This is a beautiful upper! I love the look of the rail, the BCG, Charging handle and the compensator, the finish is second to none. I have shot about 200 rounds through it at 100 yds I have gotten 1.5 inch groups that is using a 2 moa red dot sight I am sure that it you had the right optics and skill you could achieve 1 moa groups. I did have a few malfunctions. After about 10 rounds it would not cycle, and when I ejected the cases by hand they would come out cold instead of hot like normal. After some inspection I found this was caused by the gas block not being tightened down so it got pushed out of place. After taking the rail off and readjusting and tightening the gas block the problem was fixed. I have had no failures since. So if yours stops ejecting properly check the gas block! I love the charging handle. It is very well mad and doesn't flex while charging when only using one side. It has a very nice smooth feel. to me it feels just as good as a BCM. The latch is extended enough to get a good grip on it but not so much that is snags on things or is obtrusive. The Effin-A compensator is very nice. When its tuned into your loads and shooting style it makes the rifle rock solid. It makes the rifle look very unique and cool. One thing about it tho is that it also makes the rifle extremely loud, and in shooting in low light you can see sparks and fire balls shooting out of the muzzle. To put it plainly the hand guard is a work of art. I love how their is no limit to where you are able to place accessories along the bottom and sides of the rail. It is an ingenious design that really helps you customize your AR to exactly how you like it. It comes with three aluminum rail sections, two are four inches and one is two inches in length. I am surprised that such a great hand guard is included on an upper at this price point. It really is a beautiful hand guard would never change it out for a different one. The bolt carrier group is very nice. It looks great in the rifle and it has performed flawlessly. it is highly recommended by me if you are building an upper buy the ares armor NiB it can not be beat at this price point or at any price point for that matter. I did have some issues with the dust cover. like some other reviewers on here mine had a hard time closing when I first got it. I had to actually push down with dang near all my weight to get it to snap closed the first few times. since then it has loosened up substantially and now closes like it should. Over all I am very impressed by my Ares Armor Harpe Upper. It looks excellent and performs excellent also. despite the few hiccups that I had with the gas block and the dust cover I still would Highly recommend this upper. And for my next build I will probably be going with another Ares upper.

Gorgeous upper. Got mine a couple weeks early and it is amazing. Very solid construction and overall quality. Shipping time to Ohio was decent. Took it to the range and it functioned flawlessly. Very accurate and loud. I'm thoroughly pleased!

After waiting over two months to get this upper I have to say that I am not disappointed. The bolt carrier was properly staked and the gas key was on tight. I did not see any defects in the material for anything. The upper fit extremely tight on my areo precision lower. It comes with rails to attach. I love the internal slides that make rail installation easy. The handguard feels sturdy and solid. The compensator is interesting and cool and it sets this upper apart from other peoples rifles. The 1 in 7 twist barrel is nice. The description is correct, you can not find a better upper assembly for this price. Shot 150 rounds so far with no problems.

my harpe upper came in yesterday looks great definitely pleased with the overall upper...couple of little things like the ejection port door will not close due to the way the ball hits the ramp....but overall im very happy with the upper

For the price, this can not be beat. Quality all around. I am glad I purchased this complete upper and my peeps at work are envious. After gathering my parts, I now have a quality AR 15 for about $800 instead of $2000. I love making the parts I can with my own hands. I just wish Ares would offer a .308 NATO upper.

Received the Harpe Upper this week (ordered March 3rd - received may 13th)! The upper is a very nice piece, as mentioned in other reviews, no tooling marks, high quality parts, well put together! For the price Ares has this listed at, I doubt you can find a comparable upper... I know I tried! Thanks again for the quality hardware! Look forward to putting some rounds down range.
