Dear Friends of Ares Armor,

Thank you for joining us in Part 2 of our series. Click here for Part 1.

There are no human shields here. The Ares Armor team (including proud U.S. Military Veterans) is not waiting and watching either. The Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (BATFE) proposed ban on the manufacturing, importation, and sale of SS109 and M855 ammunition is a fight for our rights.

We�re inviting you to join us.

Know this. Ares Armor, its staffers (including those who bravely fought in combat defending our country), and our offices and properties, have already been targeted and hurt badly by actions of the Obama Administration, namely the ATF and the Department of Justice (DOJ). But, still we are here, on the front line fighting the ammo ban.

Why?

Defending freedom and U.S. Constitutional Rights is right. It�s not just because we�re gun enthusiasts and gun owners like you. It�s because we�re an American company fighting for the rights of our employees, customers, and others.

Don�t worry right now about red and blue states. This fight is about the �green tip� ammunition used commonly with the AR-15. The Obama Administration knows it�s promoting a non-truthful interpretation of green tips being so-called �armor-piercing ammunition.�

The Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF) is taking dead aim at a 1986 statute which banned certain types of ammunition. This statute amended the Gun Control Act of 1968.

Since the president doesn�t have the fire power to ban the highly popular AR-15 rifles, he�s now trying to ban the popular ammo used with this weapon. This is wrong. It is also illegal. Ares Armor won�t stand for it. We�re hoping you won�t stand for it. And we must make sure Congress won�t stand for the ban.

An Issue Not as Easy as 1-2-3

Here is the truth about the SS109 and M855 �green tip� ammunition. Fact: With a standard lead core and steel tip, this type of ammunition simply does not conform with the two-part test requirements of the armor piercing bullet ban.
Various surveys have shown the AR-15 and its green tip ammunition are widely used for target shooting and hunting more than 50% of the time.
Let's be honest... the "sporting purposes" clause that they are relying on, is on its face, completely unconstitutional.

Any ammunition can be exempt, and in the past has been granted exemption if it has a "sporting purpose." Clearly, every American including those in the White House and ATF can see this ammunition would qualify as having a sporting purpose.

Even if this ban does go through, the ATF will lose this battle in court and waste hundreds of thousands, if not millions of dollars of taxpayer money in the process. The 2nd amendment does not protect the ownership and carry of arms for ONLY the purpose of sport. The ATF can not point to even one single case where a law enforcement officer has been harmed by his armor being penetrated by a "green tip round being shot from an AR-pistol." The Government simply has no compelling interest in this case.

Our Purpose. Our Solution.

Ares Armor is inviting you to use our best weapon to defend the 2nd Amendment. It�s not picking up your AR-15, favorite handgun, or any other firearm.

Your best weapon right now is exercising your 1st Amendment rights, including:

The right to Freedom of speech
The right of the people peaceably to assemble
The right to petition the Government for a redress of grievances.

We must insist our elected officials and legislators fight. They�re also being bullied by the president. Urge them to shoot down the DHS funding bill. Urge them to block all paths to the Obama Administration�s anti-gun Executive Amnesty. We don�t need new gun reform laws. We need reform in an Oval Office to uphold the U.S. Constitution.

Ares Armor invites you to do any or all of the following in stating you stand firmly against the (BATFE) proposed ban on the manufacturing, importation, and sale of SS109 and M855 ammunition.

Contact your locally elected members of the U.S. House of Representatives and U.S. Senate, and tell them clearly�not voting against the Obama Administration on this issue means you will not be voting for them in the next election. It must be writing before March 16, 2015 to count.
