The Carrier is enhanced with our MK1 ModO NiB coating featuring a proprietary method of perfecting the balance of the sodium borohydride reducing agent; a step rarely taken. We then take it one step further to INDIVIDUALLY COAT ALL COMPONENTS before assembly; instead of taking a short cut and coating an assembled unit. All Machining is completed to Mil-Spec. Properly Staked Gas Key. Gas key is heat treated. An 8620 Carrier and a 9310 Bolt are heat treated, along with the gas key to ensure proper strength. Bolt and Extractor are shot peened before coating and a crane O-ring is installed for superior extraction, along with a properly staked gas key. Took this in to my local gun store/smith and they were quite impressed with the smoothness and quality of workmanship on this BCG. I thought it was really nice myself, and for the price...well that makes me even more happy with my purchase. Customer service has been real friendly and quick. I support you, not just because you are on the front lines of gun rights in this country, but you make a quality product for reasonable/great prices. |

This is a super deal and a great product, however, mine has one issue. I live within 15 miles of Rainier Arms (RA) and like to spread my money around, supporting the locals included. I went there to buy an 18" Rainier Arms Match .308 DPMS barrel, took the bolt to get the headspace checked, and it would not headspace on any of their Select, Match, or Ultramatch barrels, and several of each were tried. Now I don't know if it's because RA has a hybrid .308 chamber, sort of like the hybrid .223 Wylde except a .308 version, but I ended up having to buy a JP Enterprises bolt that headspaced. Rainier Arms told me they have always had issues with Ares Armor (AA) bolts not being able to headspace on their barrels. I have not tried to headspace the AA bolt in a regular .308 chambered DPMS barrel, so I do not know if the bolt is out of spec or the RA hybrid chamber is the problem. I haven't contacted AA either about this since I bought the BCG 5 months ago while accumulating parts to finally build. Don't know what to say, but I can tell you, do not plan to use a Rainier Arms barrel with the Ares Armor bolt. Otherwise I really like Ares Armor products and service and this BCG is, again, a great deal!! |

Don't question this at all, if you are looking at it just buy it! These BCG's are simply awesome and for the cost you'll never beat it with any other you find. |
